Coming Into the Nearness of Distance is a mapping project that was printed as a mass produced take-away and an editioned large scale photograph. The image was made using a process of drawing, digital imaging and photography, and 3D construction- it is a hyper image, with overdeveloped detail and attention to light, shadow, foreground, and background. The image considers the inadequacy of landscape photography and cartography to capture, measure, and contain land through technological means.
